The night started off with Rich playing covers with a small three piece band to get the crowd pumped up for the night's performers. The crowd itself was quite impressive for a Thursday night. A very diverse group of people came out to support and/or perform.

The event was well organized. A list was prominent before the stage where would-be singers and rockers could sign up to play anywhere from 4 to 6 songs. Most chose to play solo acoustic. Both covers and originals were played throughout the night. A good mix of Neil Young, Alice In Chains and Staind covers blended well with the creativity of the original songs performed by the different acts. Rich, himself, joined in on a few of the more well known cover songs.

The event is open to any musical performer. A small stage is set up with acoustic guitars, bass guitar and drums, along with enough microphones to satisfy more than a few singers. The open mic is held every Thursday night, starting at 8pm.
